Pivot Releases Instant Markets to Cash Equity Market
May 11, 2009
Pivot, Inc., a leading provider of liquidity management and collaboration software to the financial markets, today announced that Instant MarketsTM is now available to the cash equity market. Instant Markets provides the efficiency and control of electronically traded markets to the less structured, conversationally traded markets without altering existing workflow and relationships. Recently released to the weather and natural gas markets, Instant Markets revolutionizes how participants manage liquidity, such as indications of interest (IOIs) or block trading opportunities. Pivot’s technology translates the free-form language of instant messages into data, automatically identifying key attributes such as ticker, quantity, side, and descriptive IOI qualifiers. Once processed into data, liquidity information can be presented and prioritized according to an individual’s needs. By electronifying time-intensive liquidity management processes, Instant Markets reduces risk, errors, and frustration of manually managing instant messages to find and prioritize targeted, relevant trading opportunities. Specifically, cash equity traders benefit from Pivot’s:
“Pivot has developed the first multi-asset conversational platform that supports the unique needs of OTC and block trading while delivering the efficiency and scalability of electronic trading,” said John H. Eley, CEO. “We continue to outpace the market by consistently integrating innovative technology into our product suite.” Instant Markets will be available to additional commodity and securities markets later this year. Pivot’s Instant Markets offering includes its industry-leading communication and collaboration tools Pivot 360˚ and Personal PivotCast. About Pivot, Inc.
