Pivot Expands Instant Markets Product Line with Crude Oil Release
October 20, 2009

Pivot, Inc., a leading provider of liquidity management and collaboration software to the financial markets, today announced the official release of its Instant Markets product to the OTC crude oil market.

Pivot’s Instant Markets product line enables users in conversational trading markets to monitor, manage, and analyze market liquidity and pre-trade data with greater efficiency than has ever before been possible. The principal features include:

  • Automatic, real-time translation of freeform chats into electronic data;
  • Sophisticated, customizable, and sharable liquidity data views; and
  • API access facilitating data flow between Pivot and users’ back office applications.

Joe Hayduk of Hayduk Capital Management, a 20-year veteran trader currently trading crude and soft markets, has been using an early release of Instant Markets for Crude over the past several months. "I use Instant Markets to help me scan markets from my IM traffic," said Mr. Hayduk. "It is the most dependable way for me to extract targeted market information accurately and quickly."

In addition to Crude, Pivot’s Instant Markets product line includes solutions for Cash Equities and Natural Gas markets. Additional commodity and securities market solutions are in various product development stages currently and will be launched in the coming months.

"We’ve seen a strong response to Instant Markets, which is why we’re focused on rapidly building out the product line," said John H. Eley, CEO. "It’s encouraging to see the efficiencies users gain as they acquire and leverage useful, electronic data to which they never before had access."
